Hm, looks like I'm gonna have to assign our three players to their teams! And I'll still need names for Teams 2 and 3! Anyway, it looks like we might start the first game pretty soon, so I should explain how this game will be played.
Ahem.
- This game will be played in a similar fashion to the TV game show, Family Feud, where two teams face-off gathering points by guessing the answers to surveys asked to 100 people. There are five seperate rounds in each game.
- On the show, at the start of each round, the two teams usually have to guess the top answer before having a go at guessing them all. I will not be doing that for this game. Instead, teams will alternate so I will start the first round with a simple question and give each team time to have the leaders guess an answer. The team that wins the question will go first.
- Each question on the survey have up to eight answers, as provided by those that responded to the surveys. The team have to guess each answer, one by one, starting with the team leader, then the next person follows. Each incorrect answer, or if the player lets the "time" run out, results into a strike. The "time limit" is 12 hours, which I think should be long enough to allow players time to respond if they are afk at the time. Three strikes, the opponents will have a chance to "steal" their points by guessing correctly. If they fail this, the team playing the round will keep their points.
- First two rounds are normal points. Round three is double points, and round four is triple points. Round five is Fast Money, and the "winning" team will play.
- On the show, in Fast Money, the point is for the "winning" family to gather 200 points to gain 20,000 extra points. How that is done on the show is one player guesses first, and the second will guess next without knowing the first person's guesses. Since that will be hard to replicate over the forums, we'll be doing a different format. Instead of two people, I'll just have one person go and guess the popular answers. After tallying the score. the points will either be doubled, or tripled according to how many of the answers were the most popular. If 2 or 3 of the answers were "most popular", points doubled. 4 or more, points tripled.
So, the game will go in this order.
Game One (Pollbert vs. Team Jew)
Question to determine which team goes first.
Round One
(If 3 strikes; Team Steal)
Round Two (Switch teams)
(If 3 strikes: Team Steal)
Round Three (Switch teams; Points doubled!!)
(If 3 strikes: Team Steal)
Round Four (Switch teams; Points tripled!!!)
(If 3 strikes: Team Steal)
Round Five ("Winning" team plays: Fast Money.)
(5 Questions, 5 Guesses. Tally points. 2-3 "popular" answers, double points!! 4 or more, triple points!!!)
Repeat for Game Two.
