A good way of fighting Neochu is to use the same death technique for Adamantoise. Of course, Vanille needs to have her Marboro wand, or whatever it's called, for improved debuffing. If you're fightning the Neochu in the Steppe, have someone as a sentinel, someone as a medic, and then vanille as a saboteur, and just pound away at it with death. If things get too ridiculous, just restart the battle. This may take many tries, but it's the easiest way of killing them

For the Neochu, I ended up giving 2 of my characters the Random Instant Chain ability. My third character was Fang with a Genji Glove equipped. After they scored a instant chain on it, it was fairly easy to finish off with Highwind. Mop up the lackies with Blitz.

Also, for both the Neochu and the Adamantoise, equip all three characters with Gaian Ring. They make the battles far more managable. I didn't use Sentinels for either.
