Anyone here know of any Japanese-styled RPGs developed in America or Canada?
Examples of JRPGs to compare to:
Final Fantasy
Dragon Quest
Persona
Arc the Lad
Xenosaga

Shadow Madness isn't half bad.
(Charles) Barkley's Shut & Jam Gaiden: Chapter 1 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa if i'm not mistaken.
I had to wiki your post to see if you weren't joking. Someone actually made an RPG based on Charles Barkley. Who would've guessed that?
^ That's actually the first thing I thought of off the top of my head. I remember playing a bit of it. Can't even remember if I liked it, but it had a neat setting.
My friend Delzethin is currently running a GoFundMe account to pay for some extended medical troubles he's had. He's had chronic issues and lifetime troubles that have really crippled his career opportunities, and he's trying to get enough funding to get back to a stable medical situation. If you like his content, please support his GoFundMe, or even just contribute to his Patreon.
He can really use a hand with this, and any support you can offer is appreciated.
Make that three, it's actually the only one that comes to mind for me.
Secret of Evermore and the original Parasite Eve were made by Square USA.
Bioware made that Sonic RPG for the DS which wasn't so great. Love how Bioware starts thinking their in a great position to start slagging off JRPG's when they couldn't even make a decent one themselves.
Sonic Chronicles of the Dark Brotherhood, I forgot all about that one, but I believe I did read some positive reviews. All of these except for Sonic that were mentioned were old. Anyone else have any more recent ones?
Koudelka is a very pretty game, but the random battles, and all other battles, are excruciatingly long. Also, incredibly slow.
haha i know it's the most ridiculous concept ever conceived, but that combined with the music and JRPG style makes me want to play it pretty bad.
OH MAN I forgot all about that. Ironic that all this hate comes in after theirs was epic fail. Butthurt!Originally Posted by Dreddz
Kinda reminds me of Nintendo's recent ingenious plan to revive old franchises with new developers, and watch the gaming media eat it all up, only for it to suck...
