I've been thinking about this genre lately as I've been playing a copy of Heavy Rain lent to me by a friend. It's a curious take on the Point-Click genre, although the player is a lot more passive rather than active in the proceedings. It's also a bit rhythm-y with the heavy use of quick-time events and sets up some really exciting and tense scenarios. Unique, but it doesn't provide the same amount of satisfaction is a really good adventure.

Anyway, this is kind of off-topic, but I was thinking about HR in relation to the Point n Click genre last night and figured I'd mention it here. With Heavy Rain being successful (is it?) maybe there will start to be an influx of adventure-styled gaming soon.
