I didn't see a thread on this yet, but Bioware has released the first trailer for Dragon Age II. You can find it here.

Nope, on their main site I believe it said it would be out August 17. And here we are. I'm really looking forward to this game!

There's been so much positive and negative hysteria around this game with no real evidence to back any of it up yet and my interest has been fluctuating wildly because of it. Features being removed, characters being re-designed, etc. There's nothing inherently bad about anything people have been bitching about. The new 1up preview has rekindled my interest in the game, though:

The unreliable narrator concept really did it for me. Let's hope this pans out.

Well I have been lacking in my RPGs I assume it's not necessary to play the first game in order to understand the story of this one, correct?

^ That's what's being said. But, if you have access to the first game, it's a pretty good time (just try to get the PC version if possible). I'm sure some plot elements will re-emerge for some real oh-snap twists that only a DA:O player will be able to appreciate. Give it a try if you can manage.

Man, Bioware have been pumping out some vicious game trailers lately. Between this one and the Old Republic Ones, they must have a pretty pimping cg team working on them.

The game got me into a dismal like a dejected panda.
