Just wondering if anybody knew of any way to dowload the full game of Age of Epires 2? I have the trial, but I would like the full game. And if this method could somehow, say, not involve money, that would be even better. Thanks!

I know you said you didn't want to shell out cash for it, but my copy only cost me $10 from the bargain bin at my local video game retailer.

And after a quick browse of eBay, I've found that you can get the Collector's Edition (that's AoE 1 and 2 and their expansion packs) for around $20.

AoE is terrible when you compare it to Rise of Nations which uses the same engine.

no it doesn't. Rise of nations uses both 2d and 3d graphics while AoE2 is all 2d sprites. Agree with your first point though. The game is horribly unbalanced.

you can get it and the expansion for under $10 at amazon, including shipping. frankly, your better off buying it rather than taking a chance with a virus or a buggy download.

Large map, 4+ players FFA is the real way to play AoE.
