The above is like, an unscientific result - they swabbed some dog water dish (left) and on the right they swabbed a public drinking fountain.
What this means is that if you lick a regularly washed dog water dish , you will have less germs than if you licked the surface of the basin of a water fountain.
I don't know about you, but after seeing this picture, I will no longer lick the surface of the water fountain.
