All schools are institutional. I think it's good phones are banned because of the amount of kids texting whilst class was going on was ridiculous. I've been to a school where we had to wear uniforms and while this does eat in to people's identity's, individualism, and freedom, it does have pros. They sometimes enforce that in bad areas where people get their clothes stolen. I was in a good area and we still got clothes stolen. If you even left a shirt out during gym, it would be gone within two minutes. It was ridiculous, so I really don't think uniforms in school is entirely bad, but I would see why it would be upsetting to someone who was used it being another way.

Pre-K and Kindergarten I went to some ghetto private school in the hood. We had to wear uniforms. No clothes or jewelry got stolen. Then in high school and middle school there was the whole no uniforms thing BUT there was a dress code where the girls couldn't wear straps. I also ignored that rule and wore my spaghetti strap tops when it was hot out because there was no AC in the hallways f that. Do what I want. ~ Cartman I guess what I'm trying to say is that you really have a problem with it boycott it. Don't wear it. If more people boycott, they can't really kick the whole school out over some silly clothes thing, so there you go.
