Yes, you are indeed being 'that guy,' Yeargdribble.

This is all my fault though, I should've mentioned in the first post that I'm not interested in any lectures, or this thread turning into a thread about whether getting a tattoo in general is a good thing or not. The topic for this thread is strictly ideas on what gaming tattoos might be cool.

I am however going to comment on the rest of your post, but I'll let you know right away that I'm not interested in continuing this discussion beyond that. Don't expect a reply if you reply to this post. You're more likely to get one if you PM me or start a whole new thread completely.

I'm 24 years old, I've seen fashions come and go, I'm not going to get a tattoo of anything that is considered cool right now. I also know that there is something called job interviews, I'm not going to get a tattoo that can't be covered by a t-shirt. I've already used google as well, thankyouverymuch. The more I see something on there, the less inclined I am to get it inked on me.

I agree, I don't want a triforce or a 1-up. I do think they are both timeless though, or at least I think they have 60 more years in them. I don't need everyone around me to know what my tattoo means anyway. It's the few people who does know what they mean that matters.

Anything from these games will be cliched? Anything? I disagree completely. If you can't find anything beyond a 1 up, a triforce or sephiroth wielding a sword, you lack imagination. There are definitely cliched tattoos in Mario, Zelda and Final Fantasy, but again, those are the ones I want to avoid. My goal isn't to be the only one in the entire world with a tattoo, but I would like it to be somewhat unique, which I know that pretty much any gaming tattoo will be amongst my friends. (not that I intend to get just any gaming tattoo) Things that are somewhat rare to find online are going to be even more rare in real life, I know how these things work, so I really don't think this is going to be much of an issue.

For the record, I haven't seen a single person in my whole life with a gaming tattoo.
