I generally will text or call someone if I have their number even if it's in another country, it's useful for when I can't be online like at work, text someone so I can have a little chat or so I can distract myself when bored. Sometimes I'll just feel like calling someone up outta the blue, I do that to Alice sometimes, just get on the phone and say hi
