I just started watching Dexter last week and will be caught up after one more episode. Rita was a naggy know-it-all, but I still was super sad for Dexter. The depth of that character is kind of mind-blowing.
I agree, I enjoyed the episode. I'm enjoying the Lumen subplot so far. Quinn is definitely a douchebag ("sure, I'll sleep with you, Deb -- of course, while you don't know I decided that your brother was in league with Trinity"), but I'm interested in finding out what he does now.
I like that they're making Quinn look like less of a guido this season so that Deb can do him without me vomiting.
I think as the series has progressed, Quinn has become more and more orange,amirite?
Where do you think this Lumen subplot will go? Will Dexter's victims stem from her torturers and will she assist him a la Miguel Prado?
The possibilities are endless!
The answer to that might lie in why she ran away from home and why she feels she can never return! what did she doooo?

Yeah, she's not just playing some high-ideal white bitch. It's nice. I hope she helps Dexter deal with Rita. I miss Rita, and it's not even 'cause I like her.
I'm glad they went the way they did with Rita. (SPOILER)At first I thought it was weird no one suspected it might be a suicide. They just immediately were like MURDER before they even checked anything.
Also yes, thoroughly impressed by Julia Stiles, but I knew should could act all along. Save the Last Dance was a good movie okay!
