No; the earlier show was a reality TV show of some kind, and only lasted for like five episodes or something. The second was a drama... thing that got six full seasons.
The first Lost was a reality show in which pairs of people were dropped off at a random point in the world and the show was a race from that point to the Statue of Liberty. Fascinating concept, except that the place they picked was Mongolia. Mongolia.

As reality shows go, that actually sounds interesting, though it probably wouldnt be very hard nowadays what with fancy iphones and all.
