It's an online version of an actual card game. I just got back from a massive game night, and the guy running it had Dominion and all of the expansions. I didn't get a chance to play it, though. However, I did get a chance to play Ascension, which I was told was at least similar enough that if I know how to play one then I should be able to play the other without a problem.
