They are a joke when they're really not good at it. Then they're called "drag queens" which used to be the intention and was rarely if ever done by gay men.

But my real joke was directed at Don Corneo. Cloud may be hot but that's not really the point as I believe Don Corneo would pretty much screw a clump of dirt... every character in the game knows the guy's an idiot.

It would be sad not to see what the dress would look like in modern game. They could at least, for the western audience, add it as one of Terra's alts.

I only suggest Terra because her greenish hair is closer to Cloud's blonde. Then again, I suppose his drag outfit comes equipped with that blonde wig so it really doesn't matter. But I'd rather see Tifa's trademarked slutty outfit from the game (for her own visit to Don Corneo). I never seen what it's supposed to look like. Even in a sketch on Deviant featuring Drag Cloud and the girls, only Aerith is wearing her dress while Tifa is in her default outfit. I don't think anyone really has a grasp on what her slut-dress is supposed to really look like.

ARGH, so far disappointment in costumes. Kefka and Terra are out...ergh...along with others. Kefka is a horrific mix between an elf and a hooker, disapointing does not begin to describe. and terra, well, i mean, ok, that is great and all, but since VI has some of the most diehard fans and this should be a fan-service game I think we coulda gone much more risky and awesome such as the celes suggestion, frustration so far, chacter choices included.

Their still might be a chance that Celes is a character which is why Terra doesn't have that outfit. Kefka's wasn't a surprise though. Either way, I actually like their alternate outfits.

Squall's was a bit of a surprise and I'm actually surprised how well it looks in Dissidia. It looks kinda plain in the normal Amano sketches but has more zazz in the actual model. I can't say the same about Cloud. I love his Amano outfit but I never realized how clashing those white boot were until you see them in the model. The rest of the outfit I like but not the boots. Vaan and Lightning's normal alt outfits are basically the Amano designs but like most of the designs he did of other characters after IX, he basically just changed the color scheme a bit and didn't bother with extravagant designs like he did for the PS1 entries. That's why White haired Lightning and Black leather Vaan are not that impressive cause they are basically palette swaps at best like Tidus and Zidane were.

Sephiroth's is the most disappointing for me. Mostly cause the difference between the Nomura design and Amano design are negligible. The shoulder pieces are slightly different and the few accessories Amano gave him are missing. No real big difference there. I wanted him in a standard SOLDIER uniform just cause it would be awesome to see him in an outfit that didn't have a black trench-coat or half his body exposed, but I guess SE doesn't feel like fans would accept that.

I've stated before that Sephiroth in SOLDIER garb would be nonsensical. As an experiment, he was never a regular infantry soldier nor even an elite. He and Genesis were top-tier from the get-go. If anything, they might've put Sephiroth in a labcoat to allude to the fact that Hojo's his father (or even that Lucrecia's his mum). Or maybe just mutilate his body so he looks more like Jenova.

I was at first taken aback at the sight of Squall, but quickly accepted it and Laguna's be rockin' dat Galbadian armor, baby. I also actually really like the new Onion Knight outfit; some may have a problem with his hair but at least it ain't a lame palette swap of the original armor... I hated that.

Except if you look carefully at his normal outfit, you will notice he is wearing part of the standard SOLDIER uniform, he's just not wearing the shirt and shoulder pads. Instead using his black trench and specialty shoulder pads but his pants and main belts schemes is identical to Cloud's especially in the compilation's minor tweaks to the outfit.

Also, Angeal is also one of those "elite SOLDIER 1st class" and he wears the standard uniform. Not to mention there is not evidence in any of the games or Ultimania's to suggest Sephy didn't have to go through the regular ranks to get wear he is. It's is quite possible he did and just achieved 1st class in an incredibly short period of time.

All of this is just irrelevant though cause the point here is the alts don't have to be completely in line with the games mythos anyway. Bartz's outfit for instance is from a composite of different designs he has from both the game and Amano artwork. So it would not actually be a big deal for Sephy to be put in a standard SOLDIER uniform for s and giggles. In fact it would be rather refreshing since he only wears variations of his same damn outfit. Not to mention its only a matter of time before SE announces one of his DLC outfits will be his KH garb which is basically his normal outfit with a gaudy red trim to all of it...

I feel the man needs a change of pace and needs to be in something that isn't mostly black and has a trench-coat. Just like it would be fun to see Kefka dressed in something that looks like a fabric store blew up. Perhaps a tuxedo?
