I like the WoR, it really set the game apart from the rest of the series if not most of the genre and it introduced the one game design option I really felt JRPGs should have taken to which was making the second half of the title more open ended with the player choosing how the story is told from there. I also feel the whole "but it sucks cause the game doesn't care whose in your party" is not only exaggerated but overrated as well.

The WoB has great moments and scenes that will be remembered forever but the WoR brought you something else, an experience. Never had I felt as obligated to explore the world and see how much has been transformed and destroyed by the villains, nor can I shake the thought that it was me, the player's fault, for not stopping Kefka and having the world destroyed.
