I usually set some random song by Dragon Ash on my alarm. Gotta love those mellow and cool beats and lyrics, they're among the few songs that don't piss me off when waking up.

Right now I wake up to Cold War Kids - Hang Me Up to Dry. I change the song every other month or so, though - to prevent developing a distaste for it, and to prevent my brain from learning to just filter it out. Overall music tends to give me a gentler waking up than beeping.

I've had various alarm sounds on my phone, they all get really annoying, and for some stupid reason my phone doesn't have a vibrate only setting for the alarm, it just vibrates as well as plays the tune. So this morning I finally figured out how to have vibrate - I record 3 seconds of silence, then set that as the alarm. So it just vibrates, and loops 3 seconds of silence over and over.

I used the Clock Tower 3 boss theme for a while, but nearly ting your pants every time you wake up gets tiresome rather quick.

I usually wake up to whatever song is playing on my alarm clock radio. The problem is the dial is in between stations, so there isn't really any specific song playing as much as there is this really loud crackling sound. Which is fine because I just need a loud noise to wake up to.

When somebody walks into my room I wake up almost immediately, but it takes the radio right next to my face close to 20 minutes to get me out of bed.

Got an old alarm, so I have to use the radio to wake me up, and I hate it. But, it's better than having a beep, what an agressive and wrong way to start the day !

I'm the same way, I'll program some kind of alarm or song into my ipod to wake me up in the morning, and despite the times always being different, I always wake up a good 10 minutes before it goes off, so it's like all for naught :/
