the snes and psx have no differences gameplay wise but the gba version will be pretty much the same until the second half of the game where certain bonuses are included. Also many accesory weapon and item names have been changed for the gba version so that might get a bit confusing
    Kefka's coming, look intimidating!

Gameboy Advance has a alternate dialog, and a few minor differences that I can tell so far. Just rolling through the GBA version myself, and can't tell much difference. Any version of FFVI is epic, except some people don't like the playstation version because of the load time.

The PSX and SNES are pretty much the same with one or two lines changed and the PSX version has CG cutscenes for the opening and ending and horrible load times for anyone accustomed to the SNES or ROM versions.

The GBA has some technical issues changed but in terms of content, its mostly the script that has been altered, though in WoR there are a few added bonuses in the form of three new Esper battles (Giant Cactuar, Leviathan, and Gilgamesh) but they don't really detract from the story. Also, when you beat the 8 Dragons, you unlock the optional super dungeon called the Dragon's Den where you fight super powerful versions of the 8 Dragons and Kaiser Dragon. Beating him unlocks Omega Weapon and the Soul Shrine optional arena. Its mostly game fluff.

It's been awhile since I've played all the version, but I think there is a difference in what you are allowed to equip. I believe in the GBA version there are certain items a few characters can't equip, even with the Merit Award relic. I forget why this bothered me, but I think I was trying to do something funky with Gau.

The GBA version has got significantly lower audio quality, but has a few bonus dungeons and reworked dialogue.

Gau and Gogo can't equip the Merit Award anymore so players can't take advantage of the "Wind God Gau" glitch. They also tried to get rid of the "Psycho Cyan" glitch, but I've heard its still possible to activate it thought requirements are a bit more extravagant.

Also it should be noted that they removed the Vanish/Doom bug which has made the WoR a tad more difficult, especially those dragons...
