On items that will last me a long, long time I can bother with extra funding but those items I normally get as presents cause people know I'm [strike]cheap[/strike] frugal. Example, I just got a pair of polarized Maui Jim's for my birthday with the Big Beach frames. Found out they were $350-ish afterwards. I'd NEVER spend that much on sunglasses even if they are incredibly nice!
