    Default Questions about Dissidia

so i started playing Dissidia and i rlly like it ^^ though the tutorial didnt do That much good...
the enyme was weak so with 3 blows u got m down.. without me knowing what i was rlly doing xD.. so it was pretty much a just-push-the-buttons fight! haha

i first played Clouds story and at the final battle with Sephiroth i figured out the controles...

But anyway i got some questions:
I recieved a 'mail' but i cant find my mailbox...
whats with the chocobo that sneaky pops up after i battle when the screen gets white? xD haha!!
and how about Cecil? im so concentraded on the fight and at the end i suddenly see that he transformed white :o.. Whats the story behind that? and when does he 'transform'?

p.s this game is rlly bad for my psp :o ... ive never pushed the buttons so hard D: haha!

push square on main menu for mail if my memory serves
I depends on if u registered as hard-core gamer or something else for twhat the chocobo does
Cecil transforms from a dark knight into a paladin in FFIV, as does he is dissidia, as a rule of thumb he is white in paladin in the air and dark knight on the ground
After you get the sand off my boots make me a sandwich

The Chocobo is part of your "Play Plan". When you open the main menu, you should see the little Chocobo icon on the lower right of the screen. It lists the bonuses and such that the Chocobo will reach in the future. Basically, if the Chocobo catches a carrot, he will give you an Exp boost for the next battle. If he reaches a treasure chest, you will get a new accessory that has a chance of breaking, but boosts your experience. And, depending on how many battles you have fought that day, he has an increasing chance to hit a lucky note, which will confer a lesser Exp bonus than the carrots, but you can get one of those every battle if you build the lucky chance up to 100% (after 100 battles that day).

Cecil transforms when he performs his HP attacks, or freely while in EX mode. If he performs an HP attack in the air, he shifts to his Paladin form, if he performs an HP attack on the ground, he becomes a Dark Knight.
My friend Delzethin is currently running a GoFundMe account to pay for some extended medical troubles he's had. He's had chronic issues and lifetime troubles that have really crippled his career opportunities, and he's trying to get enough funding to get back to a stable medical situation. If you like his content, please support his GoFundMe, or even just contribute to his Patreon.

He can really use a hand with this, and any support you can offer is appreciated.

Um... well I don't play as Tidus (what a surprise WK! ) and in fact, he's actually one of the characters I have the hardest time using cause I could never get use to his weird attack patters (I prefer manually controlling my dodging thank you). On the other hand, I know what it's like to fight against Jecht...

The biggest issue with Jecht is he has a special block that for the most part, blocks every move in the game, or at least feels like it does. He works on a counter principle where he blocks your move and then counters with his powerful combos. Tidus also works on a counter based style but his involves his moves having an slightly unpredictable pattern and timing to dodge the opponent's attack and counter with his attack. This doesn't work so well against Jecht cause Jecht Block is pretty instantaneous. Making matters worse is that with the exception of Terra (who has this the worse) Tidus has one of the longest recovery times for his attacks which makes Jecht very lethal to him.

You're best bet is to goad the computer into attacking and then attack him while he's in mid combo. This will lower the chances of the CPU using Jecht Block. Just be careful, cause Jecht and Tidus' attack range and speed are not too different so staying a safe distance from Jecht may take a bit of trial and error. Landing an HP attack will also be challenging cause it sounds like you just started and probably don't have any of Tidus' branching attacks meaning your stuck with his measly starting HP attacks. Your best bet is to launch Jecht into a chase sequence (where you both are flying through the air and trade blow/dodges) and nail him from there. That or you need to nail him with your ground HP (Tidus' first Overdrive) and pray the computer is stupid (which surprisingly it can be).

thanks for the tips ^^ im indeed a beginner to this game.
and to be honest.. i kind of like tidus's moves, though im not blown away by it if it comes to how it looks.. but they work for me
playing at the moment with Firion.. but thats really a disaster for me xD it seems he has only range atacks and i simply cant play with those ^^

Jecht is really anoying becaus i start of good.. i hit him first and trie to keep him from atacking... but than all of the sudden the tables are turned and he beats the crap out of me

Tried to train a bit in arcade but thats no good either... hes alot easyer there

Play Versus mode cause you can adjust the A.I. and strength of the opponent. Tidus and Firion get a hell of a lot better once you unlock their branching attacks.

Branching attacks are attached to specific moves the characters have. You unlock them by mastering the said move. Using Firion as an example:

His move where he throws the Axe (Axe Heel might be its name but I could be mistaking it for Bartz version) once it's mastered, unlocks an HP attack called Double Trouble. If you equip both abilities, when you use the Bravery attack with the Axe, you can time a press of the square button and Firion will follow up his Axe move with Double trouble. Allowing you to combo a Brave attack into a HP attack.

Not everyone has a branching attack, most of the villains don't and Squall and Shantatto don't have any. Branching attacks makes monsters out of some of the characters, Firion and Tidus especially though you'll learn to fear people like Warrior of Light and Cloud later on because of these moves.

As for Jecht, you just need to learn to be patient and keep your distance, you have to fight him defensively. Also, don't bother waiting to use HP attacks until your brave is high enough, sometimes attrition battles work for the best. You can also use activating your EX-Mode to break up his combos and with proper timing you can even negate an HP attack if you activate it at the right moment.

dont attack with square, first break him and then pound the crap out of him

for your next character here is a basic list:

    warrior of light:
strong, but grows slwoly, also a pain in the butt to use until you get around level ten. his slow recovery rate is annoying.

    firion:
his straight arrow really sucks, use his other attacks, dont spend to much time in the air

    onion knight:
really fast recovery, his meteor attack is really good, but dont use his lightning or holy if the opponent is jumping. really easy to kill this guy

    cecil:
one of the easiest to use, you can usually jump and attack as a paladin, then land and attack with square, both breaking and wall striking at the same time, he is useless against some characters

    bartz:
he just really, really sucks. He starts out weak, and it takes a while to get his good moves, but he is useful in certain maps

    terra:
perhaps the easiest character for beginers as her arial attack is very hard to dodge, and extremely hard to counter, her ground attack isnt bad either

    squall:
probably the strongest character in the game, with by far the best range of ranges. his rough divide can instantly catch a player who is off guard from half the map away, and if the opponent is recoiling, the light pillar thing is awesome, but mostly his arial sweep is awesome

    zidane:
ignore the caption on him, he sucks so much. I find it impossible to lose to him.

Just a little tip: Exdeath is very predictable, so many players find it easiest to fight him when trying to gain levels in Quick Mode!
