    Default Tangled (Disney's Rapunzel)

I saw it! I saw it, and it was amazing! I don't even know what my favorite Disney movie is anymore. Where does it fall on my list? I think I have decided that The Little Mermaid is still up top because it has the superior soundtrack, but second place... Either Tangled or Aladdin, I think. Probably Tangled.

I'm going to see it again in 3D. I didn't see it in 3D today because I had a toddler with me. I don't even give a about movies, but this I want to see again and I want to see it in 3D.

    Expectations exceeded.

Although I have yet to see tangled, I don't think there any other Disney movies out there that the could be as good as Disney's Classics and the Disney's Renaissance period movies....

As much as I appreciate CGI..I'm a traditionalist in that I feel nothing is better than hand drawn imagery and animation

Yes, though not as prominent as in most Disney musicals. Which might be my one complaint. Maybe. Though it also worked... I mean, Princess and the Frog was all musical and I didn't like it nearly as much as I liked this. Tangled was beautiful.

A lot of people are saying "I loved it, but it's not a 'classic.'" I think it's hard to have perspective, as Aladdin and the like are movies we grew up with. Fortunately, I am a master of having perspective. I love it like I love Aladdin.

I would like to state, for the record, that I am all about the hand-drawn Disney movies. Love hand-drawn. However, Rapunzel's hair really called for computer animation. Just this once, I both accept and appreciate that they chose to do a princess film in computer animation. Just don't let it happen again, Disney.

ETA: Tsk, Rod, such a typical response, you fuddy duddy.

I am excited because of Alan Menken doing the songs. Princess and the frog was a tragedy because of Randy Newman. Go back to Menken, obviously his songs always worked. DUH DISNEY. I have to find some one to go with though. :/

I have so much pent-up rage in me, thanks to following this movie. I dread seeing this spin-off of Shrek movie next week, but - at the same time - I feel like I have to. XD

Edit: Oh, and negativity aside, I do think that Rapunzel herself looks really cute in 3-D. Still, about her hair, I think it could have been drawn and looked amazing! The Little Mermaid was considered an impossible task at the time it was being made, because there was constant movement in every underwater scene, so it was really daunting.

I'll have to see it. The fact that Disney is making musical princess films again delights the hell out of me.

My macho friends are making fun of me for loving this movie. I can't help it, but a good movie is a good movie, regardless of fluff and powder.

    Also, "Princess and Frog" is one of the best movies I have seen in years, so do us a favor and choke on it. ;;

Princess and the Frog is a great movie, just not compared to the other princess movies. It's still way up there on my list of favorites.

And tell your friends to shove it!

I liked Rapunzel alot, it was really cute!
Despite some minor setbacks towards the end of the film, I would go so far as to say she ranks fairly high in my lists of Disney Princesses.
    Maybe even #1.
