You could drink it with a spork, but I'm not sure if you can really call it anything but sipping if you're using a fork to hold the broth. Mileage may vary depending on broth viscosity and the curvature of the fork.

I'm quite partial to the phrase "mental shed" myself. Not entirely sure what it was going for there.
