I agree, I've been reading on a few other forums from some nervous nancy's that the game will fail cause it's on the Wii. Technically, all it has to do is succeed in Japan (where the Wii is still doing strong) and it has a shot of being more than just a footnote and a better chance of crossing the ocean. Yet like you, I don't necessarily feel that the other systems are doing all great in terms of giving us a steady flow of JRPG goodness, beyond the handheld market that is.
The 360 started off strong in handing out JRPG goodness but since it's reviled in Japan, its been kind of abandoned by a few high profile Japanese studios. So releasing any JRPG on that console will mostly be loved by Western players and their demographic doesn't seem to care. I don't really know what's up with Sony, its been getting some steady love from Nippon Ichi but its kinda weird that a console that has dominated the genre for two generations is coming up short, its getting some good games but a lot of its titles are also just leftovers from former 360 exclusives. The Wii just started picking up some high profile titles but the Wii has its own pitfalls mostly in how gamers on both sides of the ocean view it.
