    Default Slice VS Blitz

Which one of Tidus' overdrives is more effective, Slice & Dice or Blitz Ace?

I recently began using S&D more frequently, it is quite strong and the delay is not nearly as strong as when using Blitz Ace.

What do you use more often?

blitz ace is pretty much the most damaging overdrive in the game iirc

Slice and Dice is better against enemies with high defence and has a much shorter recovery period. Blitz Ace is better against enemies with low defence.

Oblivion (PAL and Int.), Attack Reels and Passado have better damage potential.

What about Auron's Shooting Star? Or his Tornado (I think that's what it is?) I think those blow Tidus' overdrives out of the water.

(leaving Aeons out of this, since Bahamut's Mega Flare is just ridiculous, for instance.)

Shooting star ejects enemies from battle which is pretty useless in endgame and didn't tornado just hit enemies once?

Shooting Star hits once with Eject, Tornado hits twice if successful depending on your version. They compare very poorly with multi-hitting overdrives like Oblivion (16), Passado (15), Attack Reels (12), Blitz Ace (9), Delta Attack (6), Slice & Dice (6), etc. in terms of damage potential.

You can but iirc it doesn't go past the 99999 damage limit.

In the JP and NA version Oblivion hits once with a damage constant of 75. In the PAL and Int. versions it hits sixteen times, each with a damage constant of 4. To put that in perspective a normal attack has a damage constant of 16.

Slice and Dice is better if you're soloing it, because recovery time is everything in that situation. Otherwise I prefer Energy Rain for situations where a multi-target Overdrive is needed.

Blitz Ace is far more effective at the end of the game than Slice & Dice unless you are looking to have a quick recovery for another turn later on in the battle. If you are looking to max out your characters, you probably will only use Blitz Ace moving forward due to its larger amount of hits and damage potential.

Blitz Ace, because there is nothing more satisfying than scissor-kicking an exploding football at your opponent from ten yards.

You just want a close up on Tidus' legs.
