Arthas (Warcraft)
Ya, old news, Arthas got slew. Sorry I haven't been keeping track since I dun play WOW but I do try to keep track of the lore due to my passion for the warcraft series. I just recently found out he had been slain and frostmourne broken by some silly looking buster sword rip off called Ass-bringer or something.
So what do everyone thinks of Arthas?

Arthas was a shmuck. He herped so hard that he derped.
It's kind of hard for me to have any sympathy for him. He seemed like a douchebag even before the whole turning evil thing.
Though I do agree with him that the Culling of Stratholm was the correct decision.
Culling is always the best decision.
I never understood the big deal. He seemed so invincible (defeated the elves, the kirin tor, etc) and then he spends his time in northerend as a lootbag. This is what happens when you use a mmorpuger as a story telling medium
I alway thought he was sleeping until the expansion came along! There is a novel called "Rise of the Lich King" or something. He lured adventurers there to let them experience a journey like his own. Probably to justify his actions or something? No idea.
In the Wrath of the Litch King expansion there are a ton of quests were you do something and the Arthas appears and says something like 'excellent, this only furthers my plans' and then disappears without killing you. I know around the start of WotLK the theory was that he had plans of ultimately corrupting you like he was. I didn't play for the latter half of the expansion, so I have no idea how that played out.

Yeah basically when you get to him in ICC he one-shots your entire raid because his whole plan was to get the strongest people in the world and turn them into his generals. Which worked just fine until the Light buggered everything up on him!

There's still a Lich King anyways. It's just not Arthas anymore. After you kill him I won't tell you his name because of spoilersputs on the helm and transforms himself in order to keep the scourge from zerging the world.

Arthas was my second favourite WC character. His defeat makes me sad. =(
Arthas needs a redemption arc too. Resurrect him or something!
