Sorry about the title of the topic, but I'm just too enthusiastic about my Japanese characters working on my Windows
Anyhoo, this topic is about the FF boss battle themes. I've been listening to the soundtracks to the entire franchise and analyzed some of the boss themes, wihch I consider some of the better tracks out there. Though I can't make a fully objective statement (I haven't listened to XIV's soundtrack, and don't know which themes are the boss themes in XI and XIII), I have to say I like IX's the most. I mean, I love the dissonance and the way it gives you a sense of urgency and even horror at times. IMHO, perfect for a boss theme

Oh yeah, let's talk about the "regular" boss themes, none of the character-specific or super-special-awesome-decisive-battle stuff, mkay?

You know, now that I think about it, the only boss themes I actually like are from III, IV and IX. :/ Kinda disappointing, actually.
