When Square would release titles without milking the "Final Fantasy" brand?
When titles like "Chrono Trigger", "Secret of Mana", and "Xenogears" were allowed to exist?
What would they be called if released today?
Chrono Trigger = Final Fantasy in Time
Secret of Mana = Final Fantasy: Sword of Mana
Xenogears = Final Fantasy: Evangelion
Front Mission = Final Fantasy Tactics: 20XX
Vagrant Story = Final Fantasy XII-0: The Prequel
Einhander = Final Fantasy: Schmup Edition
Super Mario RPG = Super Final Fantasy Bros.
Seriously, Square. Stop milking the brand. And, while you're at it, I still need an explanation as to what a "Ten-Two" and now a "Thirteen-Two" are? What does that mean? Those aren't "numbers" that's for sure.
And since you're making a "Thirteen-Two" now... What exactly does that make "Versus XIII" or "Agito XIII" since they have absolutely no connection to "Final Fantasy XIII" in any way, shape, or form?
(This is a rhetorical question as the obvious reasons for adding "Thirteen" in the titles is brand name marketing... However, they did not quite count on everyone in both America and Japan actually hating "Final Fantasy XIII" -- I'm sure that put a bit of a wrench in their egotistical marketing ploys.)
