Default Yuna, Rikku, and Paine: valley girls?

Do you think of Yuna, Rikku, and Paine as a trio of "valley girls"? A "valley girl" is a girl who is upbeat and perky, fun-loving, and speaks with "valspeak," a "dialect" of sorts, consisting of words such as "like totally," "as if," "whatever," and "duh!". Generally, the term comes from the San Fernando Valley area of Southern California, but can also be associated with SoCal in general as well. Do the trio of YRP fit some of the characteristics of valley girls?
    Is that your final answer?

I haven't played the game, but I could definitely see Rikku associated with that..

Paine doesn't act bubbly at all in X-2. I could see her making fun of the other two for talking like that. She's the reserved friend.

I believe that the development team probably looked to the interactions of teenage girls from all around the world to come up with the levity found in Final Fantasy X-2.
I believe in the power of humanity.

Valley girls? I'd say just teenage girls in general. Valley girls are too lazy to be sphere hunters.

Paine is definitely not, but the other two could very well fit that stereotype.

Paine's like the goth chick that the two valley girls decided to make a project of.

True, Paine would certainly not be a valley girl, but Yuna and Rikku still are. I'm sure they've used some Valspeak words if they are...

    In short: yes
Although Paine differs in surface personality, I can't help but think deep down she's a valley girl just waiting to bust out B-)

there's no I in team, but there is in pie, as in meat pie, and meat is an anogram of team

Rikku is a genki girl (especially in FFX-2): hyperactive and childlike. She translates well into a valley girl archetype.

The only one I could see as a valley girl is Rikku. She reminds me of Toni Basil.

None of those girls fit the stereotype.

    Tidus did though.
