If you make the game overflow, yes. It is a bug that happens if your damage is higher than the highest number the game code can work with. This is around, idk, 32 million damage or something.

    ~65,000 enemies.
If you encounter enemy groups at about 3.5 per encounter, one encounter per minute it is roughly 310 hours.

It's not using deathblow that makes it happen anyway. Deathblow doesn't get stronger the more enemies you kill. You need to use Vincent's Death Penalty weapon to do the kills.

I think 128 kills have the same effect as 1 attack point. Also, I don't think you need to do it while having the Death Penalty equipped, any kill Vincent ever does should do.

However, I think overflow is way way way easier to achieve with Barret. Just put materia with really high AP (10000 AP for barret have same effect as 128 kills for Vincent) in his weapon (KotR, Hades, the W materias, .....) and you should easily be able to achieve an overflow. Check out this video:

Ok, I read some formulas and crunched some numbers.

If you work it out 2048 (128*16) kills is equivalent to x1 damage. So if you have less than 2000 kills with Vincent you will do less damage than having a normal weapon equipped. At 65,000 kills Vincet will do ~32x normal damage.
According to my math at lv99,255pwr and 53,000 kills Vincent should be able to Overflow Emerald Weapon.

Under the same circumstances Barret would require 4,120,000 AP. 8xKotR is only 4mill so you would need to take advantage of Hero Drinks or Berserk+Critical Hit to pull it off on Emerald Wep.

Basically with four hero drinks you need Half of the usual AP or Kills. I'm also using 255 Pwr, which requires quite a bit of source farming.

Of course, to minimize the time you need to spend, you should use Hero Drinks, Deathblow (Critical Hit), Lightning Element and possibly Berserk.

The way I understand it, overflow is overflow, and enemy HP doesn't matter anymore.

HP doesn't matter, but defense does. I just used Emerald as a baseline, it is much easier to overflow low level enemies.

The calculation that takes place to include stuff like critical hits and berserk requires a number roughly twice as high to overflow. So Berserk and a Critical Hit only help if they both occur simultaneously. Obviously stacking all these things does make it easier.
