Translation Practice Material.

Hey there! A friend of mine is practicing translating between English and Portuguese for her work, and I wanted to know if you guys could help us find some practicing materials.

So, she needs to practice technical translation, which I think is kind of like translating a user's manual that comes with electronics and whatnot.

She also needs to practice scientific translation, and I'm not entirely sure what that is. @_@ Neither of us know what it is.

She has to practice formal and informal translations as well, but I'm not really sure what you would use to practice those. >_<

So, I guess I'm asking for two things.

1. Something similar to a user's manual in either Portuguese or English that someone could read and practice translating with.

2. What a scientific translation is.

Probably a scientific paper, like that gets published in a journal.
