I'm confused. Why wouldn't you want to buy with cash? I've easily talked people down several grand on cars just by being able to pay up front with cash. This one has been available for a while. Either there's something up with it, or it's just another victim of the slow car market. I've seen plenty of tuned cars like this around where I live that I know to be good, solid cars that people have sold for no where near what they had in them. That's the catch of tuning an older car like this. You'll never be able to sell it for what you invested in it. I bet he'd let it go for around 4k if you had cash.
