Default 2011 Daytona 500: Youngest winner ever

20-year-old Bayne wins the Daytona 500 - NASCAR - Yahoo! Sports

20-year old Trevor Bayne, who just turned 20 the previous day, becomes the youngest Daytona 500 winner ever, and it was only his second start in the series! He only drove one race in Texas last year! He drove the #21 car for the Wood Brothers racing team, the oldest racing team in NASCAR, and brought them back to Victory Lane after a 10-year drought.

It kind of sounds like something out of a fairy tale, doesn't it? It was highly unlikely that a rookie that young would win, and he won, right after his 20th birthday. Congratulations to him.

No dwarves and no rape. Kinda lame for a fairy tale.

The really neat thing to me was that car was built with the same plan that a Woods Bros. winner from the 70's was built on. Pretty cool stuff to have that kind of throw back in the modern race, especially since it's all drafting now.

    Signature by rubah. I think.

I've heard that before their last win ten years ago, their last win before that was in 1993!
