PSP sprites are adorable!

It wasn't until I watched dr unnes play through using the PSP version of this game that I realized how adorable the sprites were.

So now I've decided that the PSP version has the best sprites for ff1. Yah I said it.

Good point. I didn't think about how they look on the actual 2D background. On their own though they're pretty well made.

I'm not a huge fan of the PSP version's sprites, actually. I prefer the ones from the WS, PS1, and GBA versions. Still, they're pretty adorable.

I like them better than the original, but they could have been done differently too. They are an improvement with room for some more improvement.

But that flowing hair of fighters is amazing guys. Get on my level here. We like pretty hair an ridiculous outfits.

I'm not a fan, if I'm honest. I didn't mind the Dawn of Souls designs. I can't quite put my finger on why. They look a little amateur-ish. Not in the sense that they're done badly, but they just look like they should be in someone's RPG Maker game.

First impression was that I hated them. But they grew on me. They did a stellar job on the PSP ports. At least they kept the graphics mostly true to the original. Same poses etc. They changed Black Wizard significantly but the change was an improvement.

freya you read my mind. i did not know how adorable they were either tell i saw the stream :x in fact i just said in chat that i would get the psp versions just for the super cute sprites xD THEY ARE ADORBS

To be honest, when I first saw the videos of the IOS version of Final Fantasy V I figured it must have been fan-made somehow. I'm probably just not appreciating the work that went into it, though.
