I think Davos knows Jon is special, or just too damn valuable to be lost.

Yeah don't underestimate the Freys again! Last time that happened, ya know, red wedding. And now Ramsey just killed off a Frey.
"Is there any way to bring people back from the dead?"
"I can't do it"
"Have you tried?"
"OK I'll do it".
Shame you didn't think of this before you burnt Stannis.
Also everyone keep an eye on Davos and keep him safe as I'm fairly sure he will die - possibly as a result of saving Jon.
Davos Seaworth is a man of keen observation. During the time he has known Melisandre, he has seen things he cannot explain by any other mean than Magic and the Miracles it allows are real. He does not believe in Gods that devoutly, because in his pragmatism he recognizes that the Gods, will only help those who help themselves. He does not believe in Rh'llor but he believes having seen it with his own eyes that Melisandre has power.
Davos has also gotten to know Jon, since arriving at Castle Black. However briefly this was, he has gotten to know that Jon even though young is a man much like himself and in part, Stannis. He is a man whom means good, who seriously takes his vow to protect the realm as just that. He also knows that Jon unlike Stannis retained his honour and principles. Refusing the option of walking away from his watch to become warden of the north, to be legitimised by King Stannis as "Lord Jon Stark" because he swore an oath is important. Jon also depicted his sense of honour by not allowing Mance to suffer in the flames. In effect doing what even Davos dared not to do, realising he was outside of Stannis' power and not really caring if Stannis would be angry Jon shot Mance.
It makes sense to me that Davos would react to this man with a great deal of respect. Jon is the man whom he wished his son had become. However, his son died on the Blackwater. Jon is the man whom, Davos wished Stannis would be. Honourable, Strong, Kind, Compassionate and yet hard enough to do what must be done (Janos Slynt for example). Him asking Melisandre to ressurect Jon is as he said not a case of religion or faith. As Davos bluntly put it "smurf them". He couldn't save his lord Stannis and now, Jon too a man whom he immediately liked and respected is dead, a man whom he would follow is dead. If he can't save one, then he must try anything to save the other.
As for Tyrion's development, it does look likely they're going with him being a bastard of Aerys Targaryen I must say. Though it could simply be that based on the Dragons behaviour, and his own deference to them, they may have understood his intentions.
All in all, good episode.
And Paul, gtfo :P
i really dont believe that Tyrion will be somehow tied to the Targaryans.
in the conversation they had on the piramid it was told that dragons are smart animals. they know when someone aproaches them with good or bad intentions. Misandei comfirmed that the dragons never harmed her in any way.
if Tyrion is a targaryan then call me Sally. the dragons simply knew that Tyrion meant them no harm.

there are three Dragon's, there will be three Targaryans Jon, Tyrion and Danny
How will Tyrion be a Targaryan?
Jon definitely is, no way Ned Stark is his father.
Inside knowledge from bookstuffsAerys was obsessed with Tyrion's mom. Kinda like how Rhaegar was obsessed with Lyanna Stark.

Gosh Freya, learn to mark your book spoilers :P
But yes, in the books (SPOILER)it is revealed that Aerys is strongly rumoured to have had an affair with Joanna Lannister and it is plausible though unlikely that he could be the father of Tyrion Lannister.
I think the dragons liked him because he was nice to them and showed them respect. Like he said, dragons are smart.
