I read the other day that Maisie Williams said in an interview that fans of the books were going to be confused this season since the writers are deviating from them. This would explain the change in a certain scene some of you guys have already addressed after Sunday's show. The words that captured my attention the most are key plot twists.

I expect they are secretly preparing to separate the books from the show due to Georges reputation for slow releasing of his previous works. Not that I am happy about it but they have to do something.

They would lose far too much money going on hiatus. Martin told the creators of the show what the ending was in case he cannot get the last book out before they get to it. There is a high possibility that the show will reveal the ending before the book is released and everyone knew this getting into it.
