Of course trying to put any metal band in any genre causes internet flame wars. I'm sure someone is about to jump in and tell me how I'm a dumb, stupid newb and that VoM is obviously ambidjent, halfstep, 12bar, afroceltic jazzmetal fusion.Who knows anymore. They're too many bands crossing up too many genres to label them anymore. That's why I just listen to the damn music.
I've heard it called lots of things too. I just figured some one had searched out of the most craziest sounding genres, posted a video, to make a point.
technadeathcore awesome!!! Let it keep going! I mean I hate the arguments, but I love how diverse metal is. I don't care what we call it, what you call it, what I call it, just as long as this beautiful, amazing, diverse genre keeps going!
I agree, we should just listen to the music, but I don't mind all the sub genering as long as people don't get into those sort of arguments you mentioned.
When I started listening to metal, just last year, I was ignorant enough to call Within Temptation Gothic metal...that is sort of bad though...how embarrassing...
