It is only hard if there are girls in your party. It get harder if Quina or Zidane is your party for unknown reasons.

The Stroper is actually a recurring enemy in the Final Fantasy series. It has looked fairly different in every incarnation, so it is hard to tell what a Stroper actually is...

The Stroper is particularly awful during a level-one challenge. "Sweep" wipes out the whole party, so, half the time, just encountering the Stroper is a game-over.

The Stroper appears in Final Fantasy V as a small plant like creature in some translations of the game.

The Stroper Chyme appears in Final Fantasy XI as a type of slime creature that was notable for dropping an extremely rare item coveted by Chinese farmers.
