I actually never even knew anything about the people who currently own EoFF. Are they the same people who bought it from Cid or has it been sold again since then?

Either way yeah, aside of the user makeup, not much has changed since Cid owned this place and I doubt anything huge will change with the new owners. Again, aside of the userbase which is bound to change over time anyway.
