Treno!
I agree that FFIX has some of the best towns in the series! Actually, IX was full of fabulous fantasy settings too <3

Lamia's Tiara- Headgear in FFIX
Lamia's Flute- Weapon for Eiko in FFIX
Lamia in FFV- a enemy
appearance: a lady with long brown hair, wearing a tiara...half woman and half snake.
Lamia in FF3j- A Harp
Lamia in FFL2- An enemy
FF2j Queen Lamia, at one point she even gets Frionel in a bedroom with her and jumps on the bed and says "take me!".. before she turns into her snakey self. She serves as a mini boss in this game (as Queen Lamia).. and after you fight her as a mini boss, regular lamia's become random foes and later on in the game, Queen Lamia's become random foes as well.
LamiaScl. an item that paralyzes foes.
According to legend, she was once a Libyan queen (or princess) who fell in love with Zeus. Zeus' jealous wife Hera deformed her into a monster and murdered their offspring. She also made Lamia unable to close her eyes, so that she couldn't find any rest from the obsessing image of her dead children. When Zeus saw what had be done to Lamia, he felt pity for her and gave his former lover a gift: she could remove her eyes, and then put them on again. This way, though sleepless, she could rest from her misfortune. Lamia envied other the other mothers and took her vengeance by stealing their children and devouring them.
Alexandria or Lindblum for me too. Dali is charming, and Treno is interesting. But yeah, probably Alexandria.![]()

This post brought to you by the power of boobs. Dear lord them boobs. Amen
It wasn't really the loading times itself. It was the slow nature of the airbuses. The actual 'black screen' time was quite acceptable in FFIX.
It's a small thing to get up in arms about, but it comes of the back of a few close losses in the Festival of the Hunt before I found out that losing (and letting Freya win) is actually better.
Lindbulm and Alexandria in particular, but FFIX did excellent in giving each city and town a unique feel and culture.
Lindbulm just felt huge and very laidback, as Alexandria felt very hustle-and-bustle.
Dali, because I liked the background music there.
Treno, because it looked so pretty and well-designed.
Alexandria, because I liked the idea of a female-dominated city, for a change.
Vote in my EoFF Popularity Poll for every game and character in the series thus far: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/8N6VZ98!
I rather choose Qu's marsh instead of any of the cities in FFIX...
I loved the music and the Qu race!
Kuja, Please, Rest In Peace...
Dissidia Killed You
Yeah... the whole game...
Treno was fun.
I wish they still made fun cities like that, but I have some hopes for FFXIII-2![]()
Alexandria would be a good place to visit for the lakes.
Treno would remind one of the 'wrong' side of big cities where bad stuff happens.
Lindblum's the closest the FFIX world can go being our world's 19th century New York (remember this is in the 1800s in their world). It is the most happening of places, has an entire district dedicated to the economy (Industrial and Business District), has another district dedicated to the Arts (Theatre District).
Also if you are looking for a good airline job, Lindblum is the place to go. Either as a cab driver for intra-city travel, or one of the bigger cargo or transport ships for Burmecia or Alexandria. Future prospects also are good if and when the other continents are opened up for intercontinental travel.
Lindblum is the only armed forces where you can apply to be in the air force and man one of the flak cannons on the airborne destroyers or be in the airborne infantry. All Alexandria has is the Queen's own command ship the Red Rose and you have to be one of her most trusted to even be on that ship.
Like America back then, Lindblum also is the place for cutting edge technology. The first steam engine was built and used there. So there's a lot of research opportunities in there for Gaia scientists and researchers.
Almost all of the Main Continent ones. It's one of the reasons I loved FFIX so much, because the world it was set in was just so.... *magical*
My faves though:
Lindblum - the size and variety of it. It genuinely seemed like a city.
Treno - ah, the dark city of nobles and paupers. Classy!
Burmecia - So atmospheric with the rain and the music.
I could live in Lindblum, I like the transportation systems and everything.
As someone else mentioned, Alexandria is so picturesque, and that always drew me to it, but it comes in second to Conde Petie, which is one of my favorite locations in all of the Final Fantasy games.
I love the way it catches the light, how it's suspended over the valley, and the whole environment of the place. Also, dwarves.
Cleyra comes in third, as it resonates with my childhood/current dream to live in a giant treehouse.
