Ace Combat Zero. (SPOILER)Over the course of this game your first wingman and 'buddy' defects to another party and in the end he tries to 'reset' the planet using a giant nuke.

In the final mission he shoots down your second wingman and ofcourse, this leads to a very epic final dogfight. Awesome stuff.
