I despise mainstream TV news and almost never watch it. I don't care for trying to plunge through mainstream media websites every day to find noteworthy things. I get most of my news from blogs or link aggregates. Or even Facebook, as my newsfeed turns into a political news aggregate every time something big happens, which is a consequence of knowing people in law school.

Sites I check regularly:

Fark (news aggregate -- great for humor and quick news updates)
The Agitator (criminal justice/political news)
Pharyngula (science and skepticism news)
Above the Law (legal news)
SCOTUSblog (legal news)
Kissing Suzy Kolber (football humor/"news")
