I never understood the whole 'the royals bring tourism to the country' argument. When I go to London, I see Buckingham Palace, not the Queen. That, and actual interesting royal appearances in London only occur maybe once or twice a year, so surely there would be no point in visiting London on the other 363 days of the year then?

Buckingham palace and all those sights wouldnt exist if england never had a royal family.
