Why does the UK have a different mothers day? ARE YOUR MOTHERS MORE SPECIALER?

As the US holiday was adopted by other countries and cultures, the date was changed to fit already existing celebrations honouring motherhood, like Mothering Sunday in the UK or the Orthodox celebration of Jesus in the temple in Greece.

Like BoB said we had mothers day a while ago, though it is my Moms birthday tomorrow, we are going to have a BBQ with family and friends at my sisters house.
