Thread: Schwarzeneggaer back for the next Terminator

Default Schwarzeneggaer back for the next Terminator

Arnold Schwarzenegger says 'I'll be back' to fifth Terminator movie - mirror.co.uk

Pretty big news just dropped today saying that Arnold has confirmed that he is going to appear in the next Terminator movie. Not quite sure what to make of this. I want Arnold back but he isn't in his prime anymore so how he'll handle this I'm unsure of.

Kind of surprised that he is down for another Terminator after he claimed he wouldn't go back to the franchise if James Cameron isn't involved. To be honest I'm not sure if I even want another Terminator if Cameron isn't there. T3 and T4 just didn't cut it. I'd much rather he teamed up with Cameron for the True Lies sequel that has been mentioned on and off for the last few years.

    What do you lot think?

Terminator, like all other good things, will be milked until its soul is dried and hollow. And I shall continue watching the sequels to fuel the monster. God. Bless. America.

    T1 is a classic
    T2 was wondeful
    T3 is meh
T4 is MEEEEEEEHHHHH I CAN WATCH THIS...MAYBE...TO THE END...PERHAPS...I THINK

I can't imagine a fifth film being anything thing but awful.

Perhaps they should have Michael Bay or Roland Emmerich direct it. They're pretty good at squeezing the most entertainment out of an all but non-existent, terrible plot via over the top explosions.

Horror movies in general are famous for this. Jason, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street. Ugh.

Please, no!!! He's like the Grim Reaper of successful franchises. He's an over-paid, over-hyped Uwe Boll.....

I can't really see how this is going to work. Arnie is like 63 or something like that right? I just don't think they can make a believable Terminator with a guy that age. T3 was stretching it already. I'm with you guys on James Cameron too - the series has missed him big time since T2 and hasn't been right since. Ironically I just watched T2 last night.

Call me sentimental but I watch a movie for the story, not to see a new line of merchandise for the Christmas season.

    Default Let's be honest.

Say what you will about the lack of plot in a Michael Bay film, but the man knows how to direct actions scenes. That's a talent sorely lacking in Hollywood right now, replaced by shaking cameras and general incoherence.

Call me simple but I watch a movie for the explosions and action, hence why the expendables was a very entertaining movie to me.

Yeah, mainly in Michael Bay films!

And let's not quote box office grosses for the Transformers franchise, it's far too depressing to see.
