An enemy in Don Corneo's House.
An enemy in Don Corneo's House.
Alright! Here's my riddle. It's my first attempt, so go easy on me.
I have no heart,
But I am far from heartless.
I have less than most,
But I can do more with less.
I can be killed,
But I can never die.
If used right, I can unleash ultimate power,
But who I unleash it on is a different story.
So use me wisely,
Unless you wish to take the risk.
Who am I?
By the way, if you give an answer, I want the reason why you gave that answer. If you give an answer and no reason, I will just ask you why you think your answer is right. Unless you can give me a satisfactory reason, I won't say whether you're right or not. This way I know you're not just randomly guessing and getting lucky.
Nevermind my last guess. I'd like to say Cait Sith
He a "robot" so of course he doesn't have a heart, but he does sacrifice himself for the party so he is caring
again a robot doesn't really have anything
He "died" when the temple imploded in on him but came back later as a second Cait Sith
He has a limit that can cause instant death on the enemy
But he also has the instant party killer limit!

You got it, the answer was indeed Cait Sith.
"I have no heart,
But I am far from heartless"
As you said, he's artificial so he doesn't have a literal heart, but he is caring so he isn't heartless.
"I have less than most,
But I can do more with less"
This refers to the fact that Cait Sith only has two Limit Breaks, whereas all the others have seven (except Vincent, who has four). However, Cait Sith's Limit Breaks are more versatile, and can have more results, so he can do more with less.
"I can be killed,
But I can never die."
As you said, since he's artificial, even if he "dies" another one can just be made.
"If used right, I can unleash ultimate power,
But who I unleash it on is a different story."
Again, as you said, this refers to two results of his Slots Limit Break, Game Over (instant death to all enemies) and Death Joker (instant death to all allies).
"So use me wisely,
Unless you wish to take the risk."
"Risk" is another word for "gamble", and Cait Sith's Limit Breaks are based on gambling.
"Who am I?"
The answer is Cait Sith.
Very good. Your turn!

I didn't even think of a riddle xD Thinking of one now. Will be posted in a few.
I'm cute, I'm tiny, why don't you come play.
There is nothing to be afraid.
With one touch I can bring you down to my size,
and if magic is your wish, why don't you just take a nap?
Curses! You are correct. It was too easy. I should have thought about it more ^__^
Since it's an open round, is it okay if I take it again? I actually had a few riddles planned out beforehand XD
Here's my second riddle.
Beyond the door that no key can open,
The rejected one lies in wait.
Two faces has he,
One of power and one of wisdom.
Yet if you possess the courage to face him,
He may show the way to a great secret.
Can you tell me of whom I speak?
Again, I want a reason for your guess.
It seems to be the Lost Number. Here's why:
Beyond the door that no key can open,
It is within the safe in the Shinra Mansion in Nibelheim, and a safe has a door which no key can open (at least not all safes have a key or a keyhole).
The rejected one lies in wait.
It is largely implied that the Lost Number is a rejected experiment.
Two faces has he,
A creature with two faces, or more correctly, two different sides.
One of power and one of wisdom.
Power refers to physical attacks while wisdom refers to magical attacks. (This analogy I agree with.)
Yet if you possess the courage to face him,
It is an optional side Boss you can fight.
He may show the way to a great secret.
The great secret that is referred to here is likely to be Vincent.
Can you tell me of whom I speak?
Lost Number.
PS: Forgot to mention that by 'show the way' in the second to last line, it refers to the key for unlocking the door to the room (or is it the hidden door to the basement, can't recall) that let's you get Vincent.

I'm giving it to Shinwa Tsuki, since she gave a reason. I did say I wouldn't accept it without a reason, so no complaining, Karifean.
Anyway, your reasoning was spot on. Well done!
Meh. I'm too lazy to explain my reasonings, besides the fact that usually they're pretty obvious (unless it's a riddle by BG-57). But it would've been an open round again anyway, so whatever.
TwilightLord is returning us to the golden age of riddling where if you don't give justification then you don't get a guessTough love, it seems!
