Wow great smurfing RPG. Besides from FF it's one of my favorite RPGs and sadly they haven't made a sequel. So has anyone played this epic game? If so give us your opinion or whatever you would like to talk about the game.

I remember eagerly anticipating this game one summer and then playing the hell out of it when I got it. It has its own charm and a lengthy adventure. Really great areas and music, IIRC. I also remember, at times, getting a bit tedious, but I liked that the cursor over the character let you know when you were about to hit a random battle (I'm pretty sure exiting a screen cleared your encounter level, but I'm not actually sure). I also completed the final boss several times, because I loved the ending.
I recently got the game back from my uncle. Maybe I should give it a spin sometime.
Legend of the Dragoon is no where near the quality of the FF games and isn't even a good RPG by any standards. It was gamers on this board even that got me to buy the game back in 05 and I honestly think I wasted my money.
Oh man dat translation.
I don't care though, LoD is an awesome game no matter what anyone says.

I know it's not the best RPG ever made, but I did have a lot of fun playing it 10 years ago.I liked the additions system, it made me feel much more engaged in the battles. The strict inventory limit was annoying, but it made Shauna/Miranda and Meru very useful and forced you to plan accordingly for battles.
I noticed a long time ago that The Legend of Dragoon has its own fanbase and community. I wonder if Sony Computer Entertainment will ever do anything with this series?
I believe in the power of humanity.
It's been awhile, and I've never heard much of anything in the rumor mill about a sequel. The best we'll probably see is it being offered for purchase on PSN.
Pure speculation.
I'd like to take this oppurtunity to post a picture of the best antagonist from any video game ever created.

LoD was smurfing awesome. I loved playing that game when I was younger. The battle system was pretty damn inventive, the additions and dragoon transformations were great.
I don't really get the complaints about the inventory. Sure it was limiting, but it wasn't anything more than a minor nuisance. Do you people need to have 99 of everything ever?
That's it. I'm dusting this smurfer off. come'ere ps1!!
Yeah loyd is one of my favorite RPG antagonists
Here are some pictures that were posted the GameFAQs Message Board for The Legend of the Dragoon:

It was a pretty good game that certainly had its fair share of issues, but it also had some great ideas and knew how to keep things mixed up. Dragoon mode is fun and I loved the addition system. Had a few good tracks and some cool locations. I loved how the world map theme changed depending on where you were in the game.
I still love Rose

True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
Dragoon mode was the. Especially TRIPLE Dragoon mode. Good stuff. And Kongol was a funny giant. It's atmosphere and environments were pretty cool too.
