I still hate that. Which makes me a hipster, and that's turning popular, so I hate that too.
There's a reason I hate that. When something gets popular, the lowest common denominator starts to get into it and start working it into their insipid tripe, tainting the source material by association. Slines made me stop liking a lot of things. I used to like the Wheel of Time -- I could forgive the later books on the virtue of the early ones, until I met my 38,000th knuckle-dragging bonehead with a screen name like Demandred79687 blathering on about stupid that made my brain want to explode.
This is why I love reading things like Stephen R. Donaldson. The stupid are too stupid to understand it, so they stop reading and don't Foul up everything by posting drivel above a signature file with an Ak-Haru Kenaustin Ardenol quote in it. The same goes for anything by John Scalzi and Conn Iggulden. Slines are too stupid to get it, and as a general rule don't read, so they can't ruin my enjoyment of it forever.
I've never been called a hipster before. I guess I was a hipster before it became hip. At least I got out of it now that it's popular. I'm too old to get angry at hipsters.
...
There are many things I "Dislike" or "Don't bother with"
But "Hate" is a bit too strong, here are a few;
1. People who have loads of facebook friends for no reason whatsoever.
2. Television (Besides DVDs & Video Games) ^.^
3. People who mock the Music I listen to (I'm 18, still annoys me) XD
4. People who mock you for liking small chunks of the Mainstream Culture (Geez, Chill Out Dude!)
5. People who never step outside the Mainstream Culture
6. People who describe themselves as "Unique" and "Interesting" (We all are, well... most of us)
7. People in open Relationships (I'm a Dude, but It generally causes Jealousy)
8. PEOPLE WHO ARE NEVER HAPPY!
Sorry to ramble on... I LOVE YOU ALL!
I'll jump in and say I love it. I love this more, even though it's not as technical. I love melody. Arsis - Face of My Innocence
I guess what I don't get are people who only listen to music like that, or people who immediately ignore it as being stupid and basic.
Now the other people I don't get.
An open letter to people with no sense of independence or responsibility,
I mean people who truly believe the customer is ALWAYS right. I hate that safety net mentality. Be an adult and put on your big person pants.
You shouldn't be able to sue people, whine to people, or have people fix problems you created yourself by being a smurfing moron. I'm talking about you, lady who burned herself on McDonald's coffee because she crushed it between her legs. You're all smurfing fools. I hope your death is painful and lingering.
Kisses,
Sharky.

I usually say I like all genres of music with some semblance of an organised beat (and occaisionally without) besides the loudest of heavy metal. I include the 'beat' parramater since some people consider recording the cries of lactating goats or something as music.
As for something I hate that is popular, most reality shows with very few exceptions.
Kefka's coming, look intimidating!
Have a nice day!!
Now I do like indie music, but I like good indie music that's more independent than "OHGODMANDOLINSANDDIDGERIDOOSANDWEREALLETHNICANDTHATSSOIRONICasdhashkdhasdhkash" crap.
I dislike Twilight (for obvious reasons), Lady Gaga (she's an entitled prick with limited talent), Jersey Shore (We remind you everyone you hate. Watch our show!) , Metal music (YOU'RE NOT UNDERGROUND! YOU'RE NOT! NOBODY CARES ABOUT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DEATHCORE AND GRINDGORE!), "Electropop" (We. Don't. Sing. *generic bass line*), country music (Let's be the face of the south and not try anything new! Heartland music!), and Paramore (I can't sing! I have red hair saidhasj, fhahfawhf I'm so edgy!rhglshge)
Anymore?
You forgot vagina.
Vagina. It's gross and icky. Babies come out of it and babies are smurfing terrifying.
I try not to let much bother me. Things that occasionally get to me are constant negativity or self-absorption, as well as people dismissing things they don't like as objectively inferior, rather than acknowledge that it just isn't for them. Even then, it rarely gets to me enough that I bother complaining about it.
