What would you do with $1,000?
Not enough money to be all "OMG I WOULD QUIT MY JOB AND BUY TEN LLAMAS!" but not chump change either. What would you do with it?
If you asked me last year I would say go on a short vacation, like to New York or something. If you had asked me a few months ago I would've said spend it on a new computer... but I did that anyway.
Now I say I would put it in savings because I've been house shopping and have a specific financial goal in mind before BJ and I officially start looking at houses.

Car payment. There's a nice chunk off right there.
Getting $3500 back on my tax refund next month, so I guess we'll see. I'm probably going to bank it, yeah. I need to save up so I can eventually get a loan in the bank to buy myself some square meters. I'm working a lot this summer so it's not like I have the opportunity to spend it on anything but clothes anyway.
$1000? Buy some new clothes, the guitar pedal I want, probably a new game or 2, have a very good night out & save $300 of it.
I'd have a weekend only memorable through photographic evidence. You 'put it in the bank' people are dicks.
Other than banking it in to my savings account, I'd spend it on an Mbox Pro, some midi cables and a new Shure mic.
