Also, My Little Pony (Generation 4) has supposedly only debuted in Japan very recently (so they're only receiving Season 1, Episode 1 now). They've sure missed out on a lot in the past few years, but at least now we're going to get a whole slew of new bronies joining our ranks. I'm especially looking forward to all the artwork and cosplay the Japanese bronies will be making, since they're really creative like that.
I guess I'll post artwork of ponies in Japan to commemorate the occasion:

I'm actually really surprised it's taken this long. FiM is very Japanese anime-like - that's what attracted me to it to begin with. I have a feeling it'll be very big in Japan (with apologies to Alphaville)
@Evastio: Awesome find on the drawings (awesome work if you did them).
On a side note to everyone; Yes, I realize I'm more than likely the only one who remembers this song (it was probably never heard in America) here is a PMV I found.

Well, that's a thing alright.
It's a symbol of the change in direction from Lauren Faust's "toys driven by a great show" to a pure Hasbro's traditional "show driven by toys". Same with the wings, which I think is why the fandom has chosen those things as points of extreme rage and overreactions (though the not-entirely-confirmed rumours that some have been sending DHX death threats is disgusting and I would encourage the use of the #ThankYouDHX Twitter campaign to balance it out)
We are fortunate that we have DHX in the process who care about continuing the vision of creating a really high quality show that everyone can enjoy. It may not be in the same league as that brief era but I don't think we have to panic that it'll all be terrible and I'm even looking forward to Equestria Girls a bit.
I don't follow football but in England you'd have to have been living under a rock not to hear about Alex Ferguson's retirement from managing Man Utd and all the gushing about how he got them to where they are. To use an analogy I consider Faust to be a bit like Fergie, i.e. an irreplaceably great manager who I attribute FiM's resounding success to, but that there's no need to panic because although the direction's changed a little it still has awesome players (names like Meghan Maccarthy and Daniel Ingram come to mind) and huge finances behind it. We've already seen the show without her influence (season 3) and whilst it's not quite in the same league and had a bumpy ending, it was still good stuff.
Side note, anyone else watching Littlest Pet Shop while we wait?![]()

New trailer for Equestria Girls.
It's not something I'll be rushing out to see but the part where human Twilight was running on all fours cracked me up.
Same. I was highly sceptical (but remaining as optimistic as possible) but after this new trailer I'm quite hyped![]()
I'm apprehensive about EG, but I'll give it a shot. Though, I'll probably forego the theater version so as to not scare the parents of young children.
This post brought to you by the power of boobs. Dear lord them boobs. Amen
I had a dream last night that Rainbow Dash died and I dream-bawed my eyeballs out :weep:
I have no idea why.
...
I haven't watched much MLP yet but I already think it's a great show. It just always makes me feel happier. My favorites are Spike and Pinkie Pie.
I wonder if Equestria Girls is even showing here.
My little sisters are coming for a visit next week so if it is I might have an excuse to go
EDIT: Not showing here apparently. OH WELL.
