    Default Old Enemies

Yeah, iv'e decided to go for Excalibur II. ^.^

I figured using Quina's Auto/Life - Limit Glove Combo should help with the first two disks, not bothering with Hippaul, Cards, Chocobos etc until AFTER 12 Hours, obviously. Erm, skipping FMVs (Can I do that with a PS2?) and Speeding Battle times.
Leveling using Grand Dragons - LV5 Death and Planning my in-game purchases early on... That's everything right?

Anything else I should know chaps? I know it's an old challenge but if anyone has any Personal Guidelines like Disk Finishing times so I can restart from Disks if needed would be of great help!

After this i'll go on FFX, beat the Dark Aeons again but this time give Penance a Thrashing instead of being too lazy to bother with luck Spheres.

PS; Any annoyingly Difficult Bosses? Ark rings a bell...

    I..you...it... wow, good luck!

I'm not sure if the old FMV skipping trick works on a PS2. I remember trying it a long time ago and it didn't work for me

I've heard Gizamaluke is a real bitch.

Also, I think the FMV skipping trick works only on the slim PS2s with the lid that opens up (as opposed to the big PS2s where it opens outwards).

Yeah, pretty sure you need a lid for it to work.
I made one myself for a change! Although you can probably tell that..

    With regards to the FMV skipping trick;

Tried it... with my slimline, but the thing is it does not ALWAYS skip to the after-FMV,
You have to do it a few times before it gives in. Pretty annoying, it feels like you're damaging the disk.

Also found out that my PAL version makes it about 20% harder, so erm... I might be reconsidering
But I really want to just, go for it!

Don't skip Hippaul racing if you're planning on doing it. You can only race Hippaul during that one time while you control Vivi again. If you skip it, you can't do it later. Jump-rope might be what you're thinking of, since that can be done at the end of the game.

Hippaul racing probably takes too long anyway.

I don't really value the Athlete Queen enough to risk not getting Excalibur II,
And I have NEVER been able to get Skipping Reward for 1000+,

My eyes go all weird after so many skips! ^.^

Like I said though, the whole "Being unable to skip/PAL version" thing has annoyed me!

So I can't do this with my PS3 either?

The 'Perfect' 12 hour run where you not only get Excalibur II but grab everything that's missable along the way so you end the game with everything is impossible with the PAL version. Just doing it for Excalibur II is achievable though.
