Its a reference to Star Wars, can't remember who in the FF series is a SW fan but they have been around for ages.

haha i just thought they was slightly moronic names, and they end up being a stupid " brother " like 2 some most of the time, except for ff10 where i can only remember you could hire him for blitzball.

i dont recall there being any type of religion in FF8 which followers of the cross would suggest, nor do i remember there being any rubys aside from a ruby dragon? i cant remember lol
